A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of attending this year’s Premier Synergy Conference in Las Vegas. The vibe was electric and the insights deep, and overall we were thrilled to be part of it all.
As long-standing partners of Premier, we’ve seen first-hand how their platform continues to evolve. But this year’s event marked a bold step forward. From the unveiling of Eddie, Premier’s new built-in AI assistant, to powerful real-world insights from industry leaders, Synergy 2025 became, in a very real sense, a vision for where construction is headed.
Eddie: Not just a showstopper, but a sign of what’s to come
The launch of Eddie was one of the most unforgettable moments of the conference. Between the giant robots, smoke cannons, and high-impact visuals, Premier delivered something that was truly inspiring and will prove to be enormously beneficial for the entire construction industry in the years ahead.
Behind the spectacle was a serious shift in capability. Eddie brings a robust set of AI tools into the Premier platform, designed to make project management faster, smarter, and more data-driven. Whether it’s surfacing insights, streamlining admin tasks, or helping teams make better decisions, Eddie shows us what happens when construction software gets truly intelligent.
For us at SmartUi, Eddie also opens up exciting opportunities for deeper integration. We’ve always focused on helping customers automate and streamline project workflows, and now, with AI becoming a core part of the Premier experience, we can push those outcomes even further. Whether it’s smarter document processing, task automation, or data insights, our joint solutions are only getting stronger.
Real talk from industry leaders
One of the highlights of the conference was hearing directly from construction businesses that are embracing change. Through panel discussions, customer stories, and breakout sessions, it became clear: the days of construction being labelled a “slow adopter” of technology are long gone.
We heard from builders using automation to scale operations, contractors improving compliance through digitisation, and finance teams using integrated tools to reduce risk and boost performance. What is particularly exciting about these is that they are providing real results, right now.
It was also reassuring to hear that the challenges we solve, around documentation, visibility, and workforce efficiency, are more relevant than ever. These stories reinforced that “innovation” is too often a buzzword but at its most successful, it means something almost simple: solving the right problems with the right tools.
The value of connection
Premier once again delivered an exceptional event experience. From relaxed evening gatherings to an unforgettable visit to The Sphere, the social program was as impressive as the keynotes. It gave us the chance to reconnect with familiar faces, build new relationships, and share some exciting conversations with customers and partners alike.
These moments reminded us of why events like Synergy matter. Innovation might start with technology, but it’s built through relationships. Being able to spend time with the people we support, and those we’ll soon be supporting, helps us understand their priorities, challenges, and goals in a deeper way.
We saw that with our booth too, which drew non-stop interest throughout the event. We spoke with construction leaders who were eager to explore automation across project admin, document handling, and compliance workflows. Many already knew us through existing Premier integrations; others were discovering SmartUi for the first time.
What stood out was the shift in thinking. These weren’t surface-level chats about “efficiency, but rather strategic conversations about how to build systems that scale, support lean teams, and provide a competitive edge. We shared several customer success stories, showcased real-world results, and had plenty of follow-up interest from businesses ready to take the next step.
Finally, Premier’s announcement of international expansion, particularly into the UAE, signals an exciting new chapter, and we’re proud to be growing alongside them. As they scale into new regions, we’ll be right there helping construction companies of all sizes automate more of their operations and future-proof their businesses.
We left Las Vegas energised and inspired. The future of construction tech is intelligent, collaborative, and fast-moving, and we’re ready for it.
